By advocating for and promoting, ASCP will advance the historical art of compounding into contemporary practice; consistent with professional standards and patient centered care.
Mission
To represent pharmacy compounding as an industry stakeholder in the advancement of the compounding profession, by providing support to ASCP members and promoting ethical, patient centered care.
Purpose
To promote the benefits of compounded medicines for optimal patient centered care.
To represent the compounding industry as stakeholders in any discussion that shapes contemporary compounding practice including legislation, professional practice standards and pharmacist scope of practice.
To assist compounding pharmacists in ethical compounding practice and provide a forum to discuss ways to improve their processes and promote patient safety.
The ASCP Committee has articulated the ASCP purpose further into 4 key focus areas. By working within these 4 key Focus Areas, the ASCP will deliver on its Vision & Mission, through well-defined strategies and measurable outcomes.
